Crop Top & Tulle Skirt : Weekend Style

Hey friends,

Today’s look is a fun one, it’s been particularly scorching here in South Florida, every day having been in the 90s and it even as high as 95 this weekend. I went for something light and chic in this cute striped crop top and black tulle skirt. My pop of color comes from the Kylie Jenner lip kit shade in 22. I am absolutely in love with this crop top and am sure this one will be making an appearance on the blog a few more times before the year is done. Crop tops  paired with high waist pieces are a God send guys! They allow you to show just a hint of skin without baring too much, not to mention the high waist helps to hide the dreaded bloat! Ugh.

This weekend was a pretty quiet one. I started off having plans but when it came down to it, I just couldn’t seem to part with the comfort of home. I did manage to attend a Natural Hair event with Rachelle but we left not too long after getting there LOL. I got caught up on a few of my TV shows, namely Containment, The Real World and Empire.  It just felt really good to not have an obligation to leave the house. Alas, like every weekend before it, this one zoomed was still Saturday when I started feeling the anxiety of Monday! I swear even though the end of the school year is around the corner, I feel like a giddy kid awaiting Christmas morning to tear open the gifts! All I want to do is start my summer vacation 😉  Hope you guys have an awesome week, only 11 more days of school left for me! Whoo! Hoo!

They Made The Cut!

Hey dolls,

I so should have taken the two days I have to work this week off! I am almost giddy waiting on Tuesday to come and go so that I can start my mini Thanksgiving vacation. I wasn’t feeling the pics I had initially intended to post so, instead I took my favorites from two looks and put them together for you here today.

Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

In the first look, I’m wearing a bow-front sleeveless peplum top I’ve owned for some time. Since bows-fronts are back in trend, I figured I’d take it for a spin. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve reached for this top when I purge my closet …one day soon it’ll probably get the ax 🙂  As for today though, I’m loving it paired with this mustard pencil skirt.

For this second look I’m rocking my favorite comfy v-neck tee with gray denim from. I have never into white heels until I saw this pair. I think the PVC trim was what caught my eye, it adds something to the heel that takes it beyond just being a plain white heel. Paired with a pale pink crossbody, I really enjoyed the finished product.

Polka Dot Fever

Happy Labor Day!

I’m sure most of you are off shopping either online or in person or perhaps you are kicking your feet up at home. Currently I am doing the latter, I’m watching this new Netflix show called Narcos. It’s the story of Pablo Escobar. If you love movies based on crime drama with plenty of gruesome scenes and gun play, then you’ll love this show! I haven’t been able to take my eyes of the screen since it started.

Let’s get to the today’s look shall we?  I recently received some of the most darling hair accessories from a company called Irresistible Me. They are an online company who sells Hair Extensions, Wigs, Hair Tools, Hair Accessories and Hair Care products.  They are currently having a Labor Day sale for 25% off! What do you think of this piece? It’s called the Pearl Headband.

Striped Scoop Back Dress

Hey luvs,

Uugh, who do we petition to strike Mondays from the calendar? I totally hate them, except for the rare occasions that we have them off. Four day work weeks are where it’s at, the closer we start to Friday, the happier I will be LOL.

As most of you are, I am stripes obsessed! I was so excited style this little number from Choies. I couldn’t wait to wear it, but every time I would plan on it last week, the weather had other plans. It literally rained off and on every day here in S. Fl. This weekend was the first burst of consistent sunshine we’ve had and even so it was super humid, but I got my wish 🙂 .  Because it’s black and white you can style this dress with so many other colors in your pumps and handbags. It would also look awesome with a moto jacket, an olive utility vest, various color blazers and sneakers or sandals rather than can really take this dress in many different directions. Wrap a summer plaid around your waist for a bit of pattern mixing. Wear a cute straw fedora..the possibilities are endless 🙂 Doesn’t that make for the perfect find? A piece you can reinvent over and over again!
