I made it through my first week at work, whew! (wipes brow). Next week the real work begins, the students come back but today I’m happy it’s Friday!
Camisoles have fast become a closet staple, even when dressed with more casual pieces they always keep your look very chic. They range in price from $10 and up and can be found pretty much anywhere you shop. I’ve newly developed a love for them, thanks to seeing some of my favorite bloggers such as Rachelle, Charnele and Gina rock them. I only have a few in my closet right now but wanted to share with you 3 simple ways you can rock them with some other items in your closet and get the most bang for your buck. What woman doesn’t love a piece that she can remix like new over and over with just a tweak of an accessory, shoes and bottoms?
Holy cow, May is over with guys! I have about 4 days left and the 2014-15 school year will be a wrap! As always the start of a new month brings the outfit recap. Here is a look-see of this months looks! My favorites are pics #1 , #2 and #4. Keeping it short and sweet today, see you guys on Wednesday right back here! 🙂
Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

I hope you are enjoying a day off. Let’s not forget the real reason for this holiday! Please take a moment to thank a vet or soldier on active duty for their service to this country. Take a moment to say a prayer for those who gave their lives for our freedom and rights.
Today’s look features a long white with black trim vest which I think dressed up this otherwise casual look of a plain white pocket tee, heels and distressed jeans. I’ve wanted a long vest for sometime now and I’m really pleased with this one. Being that it is black and white, I can pair it with so many other looks. Over a sheath dress, or with a graphic tee and denim for example. I am also really wanting a sleeveless trench coat and an olive utility vest but can’t seem to run into any ones I like. So I guess I’ll just have to keep scouring the net 🙂 See you soon friends, make it a good one!
OMG! *Kisses the ground* It’s Friday!!! Whoo! Hoo! *Somersaults* This was the longest week ever, I swear to you! I kid you not when I say that someone unbeknownst to us secretly threw in an extra work day in there somewhere. Now we can all WOOSAH and breathe! Today, I’m sharing a closer look at my outfit from the Natural Hair & Beauty Expo I posted about on Wednesday. Since I knew I would be on my feet all day doing a lot of walking around, I wanted to be comfortable yet still fashionable. It wasn’t what I initially had planned on wearing but once I threw on the chucks, everything else came together around it. I love this pastel pink pleated skirt, I’m always looking for different ways to pair it. Black & White seem to be my go-to pairing so far! Hope you guys have an awesome weekend! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
Today is my last official day of work ‘whooo-sah!!!’ Very recently, I was scrolling through my Facebook feed and got to thinking that it would be cool to highlight a few of my FB friends and family members who have a great sense of style. I guess you can call this post my version of street style! It’s always interesting to see how one’s personality plays a part in shaping a sense of style that is uniquely theirs. What I love about each person I featured here is that they all effortlessly stylish. Over the time that I’ve known them, no matter what they are wearing, they have all worn it with such a healthy dose of confidence that it had no choice but to look good! Aside from graciously providing me with a look and the details on each look, they were asked a question about what inspires their sense of fashion. I hope you enjoy these fashion forward individuals as much as I do! Until next time loves. Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

Usually, I have an idea of what type of clothing I want and I don’t stop until I find it. I love to see fabulous styles on everyday women and try to mix it up a bit.
What inspires your sense of fashion – My sense of style is a mix of classic and eclectic. Classic because it never goes out of style. Eclectic because it allows me to infuse creativity into my style and go with however I’m feeling on any given day. That makes for a very unpredictable and fun sense of style. I am inspired by how I’m feeling!
This week is a short one for me at work. It’s a two-day work week and then I’m on relaxation lane until next Monday. I am so ready! The plan is to really take it easy. My mind and body needs a break so I will be cutting back my postings to the blog this week as well to about three times 🙂 I hope your Thanksgiving is filled with good food, good drink and plenty of love and laughter!
So about today’s look, I chose gingham. It’s a pattern that I really love. I hope to get a couple more gingham shirts in blue and another in green. It was anti bullying week at school and we were asked to wear white in support of it. I felt super comfortable, yet looked very chic! That goes to show that you don’t have to give up being fashionable to be comfortable. Pick your most comfortable item of clothing and play it up. Flats have come a long way, there are so many gorgeous ones out now. Accessories of course are always a great way to bring some spice to a look. Your hair and makeup are also finishing touches. I hope you enjoy today’s look. What’s a comfortable yet chic look that you like to rock? Until we meet again friends! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
Check out other pairings made with this graphic tee here & here . My look today features one of my favorite pair of jeans. I really am partial to them because they are green, one of my favorite colors. These jeans are super comfortable and look great no matter what you pair them with. They can be dressed up or worn casual as I have here. As far as denim is concerned the traditional wash of blue in its variety of shades are definitely my ultimate go to. However, every once in a while I find myself in the mood for something colorful and this pair of jeans fulfills the requirement. I could have just as easily thrown on a pair of heels with the graphic tee to go for a less casual feel. My Rocksbox accessories here already lends themselves for a more ‘dressy feel’ over all. Everyone at school is so used to seeing me in heels, when I show up in sneakers it’s a big production. I have a pretty decent sneaker collection but my first love will always be a sexy pair of heels!
Halloween fell on a perfect day this year, I’m looking forward to seeing all the kids at school dress up today. Me myself, I’m not really into the whole dress up thing. Every once in a while, I will get dressed up for Halloween and attend a party but usually I don’t care to. My favorite thing about Halloween is the month-long marathon of scary movies on television. I love horror movies! Slasher films are okay but what really get’s my adrenaline going are the supernatural ones. There have been a string of great TV shows that fit this genre such as Salem, American Horror Story and the latest Constantine. If you’re into horror, you should check them out! So what are you dressing up as this Halloween? Until next time! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
The Life You Want Weekend Tour with Oprah was as amazing as I thought it would be. The energy in the American Airlines Area was enough to light up Times Square. Like I said, I am FANatical about Oprah so the moment she came out on the stage, tears came to my eyes. She just makes me so proud! LOL Her presence is all-consuming, we hung on her every word and fed on her wisdom, knowledge and life experiences until we emerged full yet hungry for more! She handpicked her Trailblazers and they each delivered equally awe-inspiring workshops. My take away from the weekend is that I need to be the captain of my fate and control where my ship is going. I cannot let fear of failure or even sometimes fear of success keep me from taking the steps necessary to see my vision to the end. Life leaves no room for us to stand by idly and be spectators rather than active participants. We are all co-creators of our lives! Aside from the all of the outdoor activities in “O-Town” from vendors, to live performances and giveaways, inside the arena we were given workshops, a meditation session with Deepak Chopra and a great 15 minute workout in our seats with Soul Cycle. Here are some of my favorite quotes, and moments from the weekend. It doesn’t do the experience justice but I hope you enjoy all the same. Until next time! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
This second slide show features pics of Lady O herself, her best friend CBS morning co-achor Gayle King and her Trailblazers : Dr. Deepak Chopra, Elizabeth Gilbert (Author of Eat, Pray, Love), Iyanla Vanzant (Fix My Life) , and Pastor Rob Bell (Author of The ZimZum of Love). I also wanted to show you some audience pics. There were over 10,000 of us! A 10,000 points of lights buzzing with energy and emotion. Oprah really connected with the audience, you can see her walking through the aisles, simply touching people to show encouragement and actually stopping to read what we wrote when she charged us with something in our workbooks.
This next slide show are just some pics of the area around the arena, in case you’ve never had the pleasure of visiting the home of the Miami Heat and downtown Miami 🙂
Finally, this last slide show features myself, the group of friends that attended with me and a glimpse of the workbook we were given. I wrote all over that thing!
Here’s a little extra dolls: A video clip of our Soul Cycle 15 minute workout 🙂

I’m writing to you today from my classroom! We have Open House this evening and I knew that by the time I got home it would be too late to get this post in, so I took my laptop to school and here I am. Both pieces I am wearing in these pics are actually DIY pieces. The shirt dress used to be a very long maxi dress which I didn’t think was very flattering on me. Being so petite I have to watch out for clothes that drape my body the way a Maxi does…it hid what little curves I have LOL. So I decided to cut it short, now I love it! The jeans were a pair I felt were way to long in length but otherwise perfect in sizing. I love the new distressed ankle look, so I pretty much made it my own. The oversized HOBO bag with the added accessories were definitely a burst of sunshine. Hope you enjoy! It’s funny how colors affect your mood. What colors are you rocking today? Until next time! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
Yay, it’s the weekend! That means it’s time to turn up, get your party on and basically relax! Below are a few items I’ve been tracking on my Pinterest. I love a sexy pair of high heeled shoes. No matter what you’re wearing, a pair of heels instantly steps your outfit up a notch. The ones I’ve chosen below are super fun and colorful. Graphic tees are another must-have closet staple, the ones they make for us Natural Hair divas are especially cute! You can show off your hot hair do and your hot tee! Skater dresses have been all the rage this summer as well, you can find them in a variety of colors and prints and they look good paired with heels, flats and even a pair of Chucks. Last but not least sheer panel skirts are so sexy. They allow you to show a hint of skin while giving you a stylish and chic look. No matter what your style is OWN IT! It’s not the clothes that make you, but you that make the clothes. What are some of the items on your lust list? Until next time! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
