Fringe & Polka Dots: Work Style

Hi dolls,

Fringe is definitely one of the hottest trends out right now. I have lusted over the Aquazzura Wild Thing fringe heel since their release. However, I was leery of spending so much money on this particular pair of heels, so I began to search for a more budget friendly pair.  Trends are only HOT until their NOT so why spend big bucks? When I found these pair by Steve Madden, I couldn’t order them fast enough.  They had just as much sex appeal without giving your wallet a heart attack. They also come in a few different colors, I’ve got my eye on the cobalt blue ones…oh my! I opted for this nude color because you can pair nude with a variety of colors and living in S. Florida, I can wear these year round with the rare exception of the 2.5 days the temperature here falls below 60.

Today I’m rocking them with one of my favorite midi skirts and another denim shirt. This one being a lighter wash. This outfit reminded me of those cotton commercials starring  Carrie Underwood , can I just tell you how utterly comfortable this look is! You can’t go wrong with a look that meets the 3 C’s chic, comfortable and cheap (well within reason!). Happy Humpday guys…see you back around here again soon!

Polka Dots + Stripes

Hey guys,

Doesn’t it seem like every month is zooming by in 2015? Summer will be upon us before we know it! Today, I’m into a little pattern mixing with the same colors (black & white).  This polka dot midi skirt I got from ASOS several months back is one of my favorites simply because it’s made of the softest cotton ever! It’s so comfortable.  I really like the way stripes and polka dots look against each other.  I think this look would work no matter the size of the polka dots, the bigger the better! My teacher friends often ask me why I dress up to go to work and my response is always this : 1) This is a profession, so we should all dress as professionals not as baby sitters 2) I love dressing up, it’s actually the highlight of my day 3) I come from an office environment prior to entering the classroom so my closet has more of that type of clothing rather than casual wear … at the end of the day the clothes make the woman/man don’t they?  Well, I hope you guys have an awesome and speedy week.  Until next time…Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
