Floral Skirt + Barcelona Cami : Weekend Style

Hey guys,

It’s crazy how poised bloggers look no matter what kind of weather they are taking pics in; from winter snow to the hottest of hot! On the day I shot this look, the weather was particular hot and steamy.  The only good thing is that it wasn’t humid. This beautiful floral midi skirt and barcelona cami is the perfect look for attendance to a summer wedding, a mid day date or lunch at a trendy restaurant with your friends. I got the skirt from Asos some time back and it’s been a while since I wore it. This oversized Zara clutch is a fun option, but can easily be replaced by something smaller and in a neutral tone as well.

The weekend was filled with good vibes. I attended a date night event at this is extravagant residence in SouthWest Ranches.  It was super fun and a chance to be around some friends I haven’t hung out with in a while. The event ended early enough for us to come home, freshen up and change clothes and head out to a night club for drinks and dancing. We crashed and burned around 3 a.m. woke up the next day and had brunch at Latitudes, a nice beach front restaurant. I couldn’t ask for more, except for my second job to kind of do itself so I can relax instead on Sunday evening. This is the first weekend of my summer vacation, and it definitely got off to a great start! Hope your weekend was amazing. Have an awesome week guys!

Fringe & Polka Dots: Work Style

Hi dolls,

Fringe is definitely one of the hottest trends out right now. I have lusted over the Aquazzura Wild Thing fringe heel since their release. However, I was leery of spending so much money on this particular pair of heels, so I began to search for a more budget friendly pair.  Trends are only HOT until their NOT so why spend big bucks? When I found these pair by Steve Madden, I couldn’t order them fast enough.  They had just as much sex appeal without giving your wallet a heart attack. They also come in a few different colors, I’ve got my eye on the cobalt blue ones…oh my! I opted for this nude color because you can pair nude with a variety of colors and living in S. Florida, I can wear these year round with the rare exception of the 2.5 days the temperature here falls below 60.

Today I’m rocking them with one of my favorite midi skirts and another denim shirt. This one being a lighter wash. This outfit reminded me of those cotton commercials starring  Carrie Underwood , can I just tell you how utterly comfortable this look is! You can’t go wrong with a look that meets the 3 C’s chic, comfortable and cheap (well within reason!). Happy Humpday guys…see you back around here again soon!

1 Camisole Worn 3 Ways

TGIF Beautiful People!

I made it through my first week at work, whew! (wipes brow).  Next week the real work begins, the students come back but today I’m happy it’s Friday!

Camisoles have fast become a closet staple, even when dressed with more casual pieces they always keep your look very chic. They range in price from $10 and up and can be found pretty much anywhere you shop. I’ve newly developed a love for them, thanks to seeing some of my favorite bloggers such as Rachelle, Charnele and Gina rock them.  I only have a few in my closet right now but wanted to share with you 3 simple ways you can rock them with some other items in your closet and get the most bang for your buck. What woman doesn’t love a piece that she can remix like new over and over with just a tweak of an accessory, shoes and bottoms?

Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

June Outfit Recap

Hi guys,

It’s that time again! Here is a look back at some of my favorites from the month of June.  I would love for July to slow down a bit so I can savor ever sweet work free day but it’ll probably fly by just as quickly! I hope you guys had an awesome 4th with your family and/or friends! I had an amazing time this weekend, spent it doing such things as visiting the Science Museum, planetarium, enjoying a night out on South Beach, catching some of the holiday sales to a great fireworks show on Ft. Lauderdale beach. I felt like I was tourist on vacation right here at home this weekend and it was so nice and relaxing at the same time.  Have a great week friends!

Animal Print + Midi Skirt

Hey friends,

Today will be my last post for the next week and a half. I am taking some time off to travel a bit! I will still be updating my IG but am hanging up my blog shoes for a bit 🙂

Today’s look is a remix of some goodies from the closet. None of the pieces are available, however I have found some similar items for the Shop My Look section below, in case you are interested 🙂 I feel like a cast member from Happy Days ( I know I’m dating myself), and I would have totally dated “The Fonze” back in his hay days LOL.  Anyway I love the 50s vibe this look gives off with a bit of modern twist. It’s been awhile since I’ve worn any of my midi skirts so I had to break one out and give it a spin. Hope you like 🙂

Pumps & Push-Ups Boutique

Happy Hump Day Friends!

I love Erica & Brooke of Pumps & Push Ups, and have been following their blog for a pretty long time. I can totally relate to the fashion and healthy lifestyle aspects of it so you can imagine how excited I was when they presented me with the opportunity to style something from their Pumps & Push Ups: The Collection online boutique. I chose the gorgeous Everly: Made For You Midi Skirt, and I must say, it is as beautiful in person as it was on the site. The material was just the right amount of heavy so that you can’t see through the skirt but had enough flow and movement for the upcoming spring months. The pleated front caught my eye and definitely added a touch of chic to this piece.  I can certainly pair it with a variety of tops from camis, box tops, to sweaters and everything in between.  Today I decided to rock it with a pin stripe button down shirt and chunky necklace. I undid all but two buttons on the shirt so I can sport a tank underneath. I really like the finished product! What do you think? Until next time dolls…Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

Simply Colorful

Happy Monday Friends,

Hope you guys had a splendid weekend! Last week I mentioned that I would be participating in the New Teacher Academy for my school district. Saturday was the first of 4 and it was awesome! I was paired with two other facilitators and we had an amazing group of new teachers that seemed very eager to dig their heels into the profession. Saturday night I and a couple of girlfriends went to a live music event called Miami Soul Sessions, it was a cover band performance and they sang all of our favorite 90s music from artist like En Vogue, Brandy, Monica, Soul 4 Real etc. Sunday I spent working on the blog, lesson plans and my second job. I meant to also do some job hunting and of course ran out of time! Ugh.

So here is yet another outfit remix, if you’ve followed me for a while you would have seen this midi skirt before from Express. I decided to wear it this time with some popping colors.  I really like the results! I felt pretty glamorous at work and my sunnies helped create that effect. They were a low-key buy at Target believe it or not! Although they are the cheapest pair of sunnies I own, they are certainly one of my faves because they of the over-sized frames. Hope you like it! Until next time! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

Happy Friday loves!

Whoo Hoo! TGIF! The short week has come to an end and it’s back to the weekend. I’m looking forward to having some fun and unwinding with friends. Before I can do any of that however, the #1 thing on my to do is is SLEEP. I am so in need of some right now and I won’t be able to function until I get at least one full night’s rest.  I am finding that I am nodding off at the most random times LOL like while sitting in my classroom after school the other day, I fell asleep with my head on a student’s desk. Thank goodness they were already gone for the day! I was in my weekly Yoga class today and dozed off twice, she kept having to call my name (How embarrassing!) So I definitely have to set a date with Club Bed and DJ Pillow we have some serious catching up to do! Here’s to hoping that time slows to a snail crawl this weekend and we all come out the other end rested and fully relaxed. Until next time! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
