For the Fanatic in You!

Hi Friends,

Thanks for stopping by! Today features a couple of rockin’ hats from Fanatics , an online shop for everything sports, specializing in apparel. Here in South Florida we are huge sports fans both men and women. As much as I love to support the Miami Heat , I can never forget my hometown teams back in Boston where I’m from (Go Pats! , Go Celtics! , Go Bruins! , Go Red Sox!).  In undergrad my college was in walking distance from Fenway Park, so I’ve been to plenty of  Red Sox games as well as hung out at the billiards and clubs on Lansdowne Street.  Of course we fashionistas will rock sports apparel, but we still have to put our stylish flair and spin on things. So, I’ve created a couple of sets around some cool hats from Fanatics. Keeping in mind that you can show your team spirit at a multitude of spots in your city outside of the actual stadium/arena I’ve added a couple of shoe options for the occasion 🙂 Are you or any of your loved ones sports Fanatics? Then you have to check them out!  Represent your teams in the comment section below! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

Simply Colorful

Happy Monday Friends,

Hope you guys had a splendid weekend! Last week I mentioned that I would be participating in the New Teacher Academy for my school district. Saturday was the first of 4 and it was awesome! I was paired with two other facilitators and we had an amazing group of new teachers that seemed very eager to dig their heels into the profession. Saturday night I and a couple of girlfriends went to a live music event called Miami Soul Sessions, it was a cover band performance and they sang all of our favorite 90s music from artist like En Vogue, Brandy, Monica, Soul 4 Real etc. Sunday I spent working on the blog, lesson plans and my second job. I meant to also do some job hunting and of course ran out of time! Ugh.

So here is yet another outfit remix, if you’ve followed me for a while you would have seen this midi skirt before from Express. I decided to wear it this time with some popping colors.  I really like the results! I felt pretty glamorous at work and my sunnies helped create that effect. They were a low-key buy at Target believe it or not! Although they are the cheapest pair of sunnies I own, they are certainly one of my faves because they of the over-sized frames. Hope you like it! Until next time! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

A SEA OF BLUE

Hey loves,

Happy Monday, I have the day off from work due to Dr. King’s birthday. So I’m at home relaxing until I have to go to the gym later. I’ve had a few request to post about my workout routine, so I’ll try to get that together real soon! Today’s look is from the weekend. I was supposed to catch the movie ‘Selma’ with my mom but she cancelled on me LOL whomp whomp! She did help take these photographs of me though (it was the least she could do ‘wink wink’) . These are a pair of boyfriend shorts that I picked up on sale at Gap, however they ran big so I had the waist taken in. I’m thinking about distressing them a bit more as well. I have to take in a lot of my clothes because certain designers run pretty large even when the tag size reads 0, which is pretty irritating but I’m sure my tailor doesn’t mind at all! I really love boyfriend shorts with button down shirts of any kind such as the inspo ones I posted from Pinterest in gingham, plain white and stripes. I also love to rock them with graphic or plain white tees with a shirt tied at the waist. It really depends on my mood. Finally, although I rock them with sneakers, I do prefer them with heels. How do you like to rock your denim shorts? Share your thoughts in the comments section and I’ll see you next time! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

Lovin’ the Crew!

facebook-friends

Happy Tuesday!

Today is my last official day of work ‘whooo-sah!!!’   Very recently, I was scrolling through my Facebook feed and got to thinking that it would be cool to highlight a few of my FB friends and family members who have a great sense of style.  I guess you can call this post my version of street style! It’s always interesting to see how one’s personality plays a part in shaping a sense of style that is uniquely theirs.  What I love about each person I featured here is that they all effortlessly stylish. Over the time that I’ve known them, no matter what they are wearing, they have all worn it with such a healthy dose of confidence that it had no choice but to look good!   Aside from graciously providing me with a look and the details on each look, they were asked a question about what inspires their sense of fashion. I hope you enjoy these fashion forward individuals as much as I do! Until next time loves. Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

Hey guys,

Well I survived the first day of school! My students are absolutely adorable. It’s crazy how teachers go through first day jitters right along side our students. I’m beat! I’m sitting here at home watching this movie called “Hope Springs” with Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones, so far it’s pretty good! We’ll see how long it takes me to work while trying to watch a movie as well. 🙂 Well I’m out of here, I’ve got a newsletter and a whole heap of essays to grade from my online gig! Stay fabulous folks. Until next time! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
