Specs

Hey guys,

Glasses have come a long way haven’t they?  There was a time when we wouldn’t be caught dead wearing glasses out in public and would rather stumble over things and spend the whole day squinting rather than let a pair of glasses ruin our look. Flash forward to now and designers have been putting out stunning specs that compliment your face, have cool frames and even fit your style and personality.  A great pair of glasses that are both fashionable and reasonably priced are still hard to come by. The folks at FIRMOO have changed that. They not only have several stylish frames for your choosing, you can upload a photo of yourself to virtually try on the frames before purchasing. Right now they are offering 15% off your first pair when you order here.  So, what do you think of my new specs?

Simply Green

Happy Midweek!

I can’t tell you how many times I put items in my virtual shopping cart in the last couple of days only to hit the X on the tab and log off. LOL. Either  I just wasn’t feeling that passionate about any one item or I was just being cheap, who knows! *Shrugs*  🙂

Today I’m rocking another pair of ankle pants this time from J.Crew. I absolutely love this pair because green is one of my favorite colors. I really love the way it pops against my complexion. This green portofino is literally my first one from Express. I have since added a second one to my wardrobe but I will never be able to compete with a few of you lovelies (namely Rachelle, Gina, Denise and Caryl <3 )!  You ladies do however inspire me tremendously so I do hope you like this choice of color!  Have a great hump day friends!

Tailored

Hi guys,

We’re all back at it again for another week aren’t we? The school year is winding down, we literally have 7 weeks left to the school year. Everyone is getting a bit stir crazy as the summer draws near.  Apparently so is our S. Fl weather, as we had a bit of a heat wave here this weekend. The temps felt like the 90s! Needless to say the beaches were jammed packed.

Today’s look features a pair of tailored pants from Bisou Bisou.  I really love the way these pants fit, the length is perfect to wear with heels or flats. The color pairs very well with both light and dark colors in a variety of tops from peplums to camis. Finally this would be a great pair of pants to rock with skinny suspenders or a bowtie with a pair of masculine inspired heels . Hope you have an awesome week, see you back here on Wednesday! 🙂

Full Bloom!

Happy April Fools!

April showers bring May flowers as they say but we’ve been blessed with a bit of a cold front here in S. Florida. By cold front I mean a refreshing breeze. We wake up in the high 50s, low 60s and by 10 am it’s 80 degrees. LOL.  Personally, I’m for anything that keeps that nasty humid heat at bay! If you follow me on Instagram, you might have noticed that I straightened my hair this past weekend, humidity is the worse, so that’s another reason I prefer the cool breeze. I found an anti humectant at Aveda that I’m testing out, I’ll let you know if it works!

With the onset of the 2015 Spring season and all the great fashion trends that go with it, one of my favorites are  floral patterns. They are everywhere, in pants, skirts, heels and tops. You name it, they make it in a floral print. So I’m going with the trend today rocking this super cute pencil skirt from J. Crew.  I threw a denim jacket over my button down, and I was in love.  I don’t know what it is about denim/chambray that always makes an outfit awesome, whether it’s a compliment to what you are wearing or a part of your main overall look.  Here’s to April, dolls! Make it a good day 🙂 Until next time…Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

For the Fanatic in You!

Hi Friends,

Thanks for stopping by! Today features a couple of rockin’ hats from Fanatics , an online shop for everything sports, specializing in apparel. Here in South Florida we are huge sports fans both men and women. As much as I love to support the Miami Heat , I can never forget my hometown teams back in Boston where I’m from (Go Pats! , Go Celtics! , Go Bruins! , Go Red Sox!).  In undergrad my college was in walking distance from Fenway Park, so I’ve been to plenty of  Red Sox games as well as hung out at the billiards and clubs on Lansdowne Street.  Of course we fashionistas will rock sports apparel, but we still have to put our stylish flair and spin on things. So, I’ve created a couple of sets around some cool hats from Fanatics. Keeping in mind that you can show your team spirit at a multitude of spots in your city outside of the actual stadium/arena I’ve added a couple of shoe options for the occasion 🙂 Are you or any of your loved ones sports Fanatics? Then you have to check them out!  Represent your teams in the comment section below! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

The Shopping Bag – Heidi Bib Necklace

Hey Divas!

I haven’t posted on a Tuesday in forever, but today I’m excited to partner up with The Shopping Bag once again to feature one of their gems, the Heidi Bib Necklace. Being a Bostonian at heart, the home of the original St. Patrick’s Day parade (yes even before Ireland 🙂 ) , I jumped at the chance to spread the word about their fantastic St. Patrick’s Day sale and you can get 17% off sitewide with the code LUCKY from now thru March 17, 2015 at 11:59 pm EST.

Today I paired the  Heidi Bib Necklace with a chambray shirt, pastel yellow pencil skirt and a pair of fun heels by my favorite shoe designer Sofia Webster.  There is no St. Patty’s Day celebration that doesn’t involve a bottle of Bailey’s! So to get you started off right with your celebration, here is a great cocktail recipe called the Speedy Leprechaun. Enjoy dolls and see you back here tomorrow for my regularly scheduled post! 🙂 Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

Masculine Chic

Happy Monday!

Hope you’re enjoying a day off friends. I love a well dressed man but I also adore men’s clothing on women! After all, what ever they do, we do better don’t we dolls?  🙂 Today’s look features my spin on menswear. Remember the Natural Hair and Beauty Expo I attended a few months back? If not, you can visit it here. So there were quite a few vendors there and one of them was Mr. Stephen Gaskins CEO of That’s a Gentleman. He specializes in hand-made bow-ties and matching pocket squares. This man has such skills with a sewing machine, he also makes other pieces for men. I instantly fell in love with his bow-ties and picked up this camo one I’m wearing today. I always love a man in a tux with his bow-tie undone at the end of the evening, it’s just sexy…so I left my tie undone as well.  I’m also rocking a studded leather cuff, made by Cuffed Designs who also specializes in menswear. Do you rock men’s clothing? Which masculine pieces do you like to wear?  Until next time.  Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

Sheath Dress + Chambray

Happy Hump Day!

I’m super excited as I look through my pics these days, my skin is glowing and looks really great! I really feel like the products by InstaNatural that I’ve added to my skin care regimen have really enhanced the overall health of my face. To read my last product review for InstaNatural click here. I will definitely continue using the Vitamin C serum and moisturizer. There are some other products for skin by this company that I also would love to try out so stay tuned! Another cool day in South Florida, allowed me to rock this black sheath dress with a chambray shirt and booties. All 3 items I’m wearing have been remixed.  I’m telling you ladies, you really don’t realize just how many spectacular combinations you can make with items in your closet until you set your mind to it. I typically wear this sheath dress with a button down white shirt, but I think I love it more with the chambray! With the help of some inspo from Pinterest, I’ve learned a few different ways to pair up a black sheath dress, so you may see me remixing this item again soon! I haven’t shopped for the entire month of January and it’s almost over. I think I can! I think I can! I think I can!  Let’s see if I can keep this up into the month of February. Have a fantastic day dolls!  Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
