Hey guys and gals, we made it! When I wake up on Fridays, I always feel a sense of relief. Just a few more hours and I’ll be back home relaxing. I had these pics from my summer in Europe, specifically London so I figured I’d post them today on this casual and relaxed work day. I haven’t worn this denim head wrap since but totally loved the look. Of course denim is easily one of the most versatile pieces in our closets. It’s amazing how simply tying a denim shirt around your waist can finish off a look. I totally felt like one of the locals LOL. Now if only I could develop that wonderful British accent I’d be in for sure! This look totally reminds me of the following pic, what do you think?
Given all that’s been going on in Paris as of late, Europe has been heavy on my mind. I pray for my family members over there and the resilient people of Paris. I hope you guys enjoy a wonderful weekend! Rumor has it we’re in for a bit of a cold front here in S. Florida soon, so I’m crossing my fingers!
Glad to see you back and still holding strong during this hectic work week! Today is a flashback at my looks from the month of October. I see that my floral heels and high waist Gap jeans were on repeat performance and I actually love both looks. Stripes always seem to make their way into every month I think. Here in muggy South Florida, October brought us at least 2 weeks of tropical weather which was wonderful. It was never too hot and even better it was humidity free. That ended some time last week but it was certainly good while it lasted! I hear there is a cold front looming in the horizon, I can’t wait! Have a great one 🙂
October has come to an end, can’t say it went by that quickly. My birthday is in a couple of days Monday to be exact. Over the years I’ve become less celebratory on my bday. I’m happy if I can spend it at the spa all day, relaxing in peaceful bliss. As you get older, I think sometimes it’s the simple things that make you happy!
Today is casual Friday look with heels as opposed to the flats I typically opt for. Sometimes you just have to rock the heels no matter what. Throw in my favorite high waist denim from Gap and an Express tee and I’m all set. Have a lovely weekend! The giveaway is still going strong, enter here today!
Last week was tough! I was sick as a dog all week, I forced myself to go to work the first three days but it seemed that by the end of each day I was feeling worse not better; so eventually I had to bite the bullet and stay home to take care of myself and get some rest. I’m still not at 100% , but I’m definitely better than I was! Today I am wearing some favorites from GAP. This eyelet peplum top is an easy transition piece from the summer into the fall season. It’s light enough for Florida’s moody weather blues all year long and can be layered for the 2.5 days where it actually drops below 60 degrees here. My accessories add a bit of spice to this look with the pops of pink. I actually love Gap denim, they fit me well and I’m obsessed with their high waist options. I’ve got my eyes on these pairs here and here. Hope you guys have an awesome Monday.
It’s a short work week, but work needs to be done nevertheless! So here we back at it again. I don’t think I’ll be posting this Friday, I have a pretty busy weekend up ahead, so I’ll probably be spending what little free time I have visiting my friends in Blogland 🙂
This green portofino shirt from Expressalthough one of a very small collection is my favorite. I absolutely love the feel of the fabric and the color against my skin! If you’ve not added a portofino shirt to your collection then it’s a must have in your closet. Visit bloggers like Gina, Rachelle, Carylee and Denise to see how they style the many gorgeous ones they have in their personal collection. Hope you are having an awesome day friends! BTW, did any of you shop the Express Labor Day 40% off sale this week? What did you get?
****July 14,2015 10:16 p.m. Guys, my dad passed suddenly yesterday. As you can imagine I am trying my best to cope with this tremendous loss along with my family, so I will be offline for several days. Please keep us in your prayers. Thank you. ****
Happy Monday friends! Glad you are stopping by 🙂 Hope you had a quiet weekend. Mine was pretty quiet. I returned to the gym after two weeks off due to vacationing and I have to say it took some getting used to. My trainer kicked my butt and I didn’t miss it at all! As I always say vanity keeps me coming back for more LOL. I sort of low-key envy folk who are die-hard gym fanatics and love going in. For me, it’s a necessary evil.
So about today’s look, I’ve found myself shopping at Gap and Abecrombie & Fitch lately. Believe or not, I’ve just recently figure out what size I wear in denim, I’m so used to buying jeans that have sizes 0,2 and 4 on them that I never knew what that translated to when I’m looking at those in the double digits. There’s nothing like a great pair of well-fitting jeans, so now I’m a bit addicted to Gap Jeans, as well as the many cute items they sell online at A&F. The high waist and crop combo works so well in a lot of different looks. Whether you are talking pants and crops or skirts with crops. For those of us uncomfortable with baring our tummy’s or just a tad bit conservative, this works pretty well and a flash of tummy is just as sexy! 😉
