These are a few pics of what I wore to a recent women’s conference. I think I may have mentioned it last week. Went for an all black look with a little lace. The skirt was a Chicwish purchase and I’ve since seen different variations of it that I love just as much, so I wouldn’t be surprised if I ended up with another black one and a white one. The heels were on major sale at DSW and yet another addition to my growing Vince Camuto heels. Camuto shoes are always so comfortable so I never hesitate when it comes to buying them.
I made it through my first week at work, whew! (wipes brow). Next week the real work begins, the students come back but today I’m happy it’s Friday!
Camisoles have fast become a closet staple, even when dressed with more casual pieces they always keep your look very chic. They range in price from $10 and up and can be found pretty much anywhere you shop. I’ve newly developed a love for them, thanks to seeing some of my favorite bloggers such as Rachelle, Charnele and Gina rock them. I only have a few in my closet right now but wanted to share with you 3 simple ways you can rock them with some other items in your closet and get the most bang for your buck. What woman doesn’t love a piece that she can remix like new over and over with just a tweak of an accessory, shoes and bottoms?
I thought this week would never end! I just want to crawl under the covers and not get out until Monday morning! On my last post, I wore a Winter transition into Spring look…I’m keeping that going into this post with 3 looks other that can transition your wardrobe from Winter into Spring.
#1 -Look number one is a maxi dress paired with flats, a moto jacket and a great pop of color in the form of a clutch. Perfect for going into the spring time during those early morning chills that turn into afternoon warmth.
#2- Look number two pretty much works year round, unless you live in S. Florida where it gets hell hot during the summer and can only rock the blazer if you work somewhere that has freezing AC. You cannot go wrong with a great pair of denim jeans, graphic tee and a bright blazer. This look is very trendy and chic.
#3 – Look number three is probably my favorite! A gorgeous printed midi skirt with crop top sweater and heels seal the deal! Crop tops with high-waisted skirts, jeans etc…are perfect when you want to show a hint of skin without overdoing it during your winter transition.
Hope you enjoy these looks! You probably have similar pieces in your closet! Until next time…Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
Today, I want to share some work place fashion inspiration. These looks are based off of my closet staples that I’ve worn on the blog. Let’s begin with the first look, which features a peplum top and pencil skirt, two things I wear quite often. I love peplum tops, they come in a variety of styles and textures, so even if you own a few of them, they don’t all look the same. The second look is a tunic dress with a pop of color. If you’ve noticed, I love to insert a pop of color into my outfits. Whether it’s a monochromatic look or one that could simply use an accent color; bright colors add a touch of needed flavor to almost anything you wear. You can’t beat a midi skirt with stripes as shown in the third look! Stripes are great paired with other patterns and are also another trick for breaking up monochromatic looks. I always have a lot of files and books on me, so I typically have to carry at least one large tote bag. So for those days when I want to wear a clutch to work, it has to double as my wallet. I will use my Coach briefcase bag seen here for my big items and put the clutch inside of it, pulling it out for those moments I want to give my work place look a transition to after 5 attire. Happy hours & professional mixers are perfect for this! The great thing about each of these items is that you can remix them in many ways! For example, the windowpane tunic can be remixed as a top under a pleated or leather midi skirt. What are some of your work place closet staples? Until next time! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
Happy Thursday! Today’s post features an item from my closet that is one of my favorite’s. I first spotted this crochet pencil skirt on J’adore Fashion a blogger that I follow who has impeccable style. When I saw this skirt, I immediately clicked to purchase it. LOL How many times have we all done that with our fellow bloggers? That’s one of the things I find so fantastic about blogging, it’s like having a stylist at your finger tips every day. Several bloggers can be rocking the same item but all with their own flare and style and that same piece looks different on each and every single person. I also love cardigans and used to have a varied collection of them, sadly these last few years I’ve switched classrooms and my new room has huge windows which brings in a lot of sunlight; so nowadays my classroom is typically too warm to wear them. I’ve held on to this red one because I really love the color and think that red is complimentary to my skin’s undertones. Pair that with Ruby Woo by MAC and I’m all set. I absolutely LOVE this lipstick shade, it truly looks good with every skin tone. What are some colors you find that look great on you? Are you digging the many shades of red for fall? I’d love to hear from you! Until next time. Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
Well, we are finally into September and the year is zooming on by! Before you know it, we’ll be toasting to the New Year. At this point I have a few things in the works, two weddings to get sexy for, a bridal shower, a baby shower, my birthday, and travel for the month of December. I haven’t decided where I want to go yet, but I have 2 weeks off in which to visit somewhere. Today’s outfit is one of my faves, I have really fallen in love with certain colors and this outfit has all three (red, green, yellow)! I love the concrete jungle look of the background against my island girl vibe. All pieces can be worn with many other items in my closet, so you can’t lose when you purchase clothes that are versatile. Talk about getting the most bang for your buck! Hope you enjoy, until next time! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
