These are a few pics of what I wore to a recent women’s conference. I think I may have mentioned it last week. Went for an all black look with a little lace. The skirt was a Chicwish purchase and I’ve since seen different variations of it that I love just as much, so I wouldn’t be surprised if I ended up with another black one and a white one. The heels were on major sale at DSW and yet another addition to my growing Vince Camuto heels. Camuto shoes are always so comfortable so I never hesitate when it comes to buying them.
I feel like I’ve been away for months! Thanks so much to all of you who have left messages of condolences here on the blog and via IG. I truly appreciate your words of support and encouragement. These last few weeks have been very tough on my family and I. My dad has been laid to rest in his beloved country of Haiti and he is surely at peace. I am trying to get back to somewhat of a normal pattern again but it’s taking me some time so please bear with me if I disappear every now and again. This healing process is something else 🙂
I had this post ready some time ago and since then the dresses I linked have sold out. My apologies, but the look pretty much works with any LBD you have in your closet. Can I tell you how much I love this vest!! It can be worn with so many other pieces, and I really like the touch of dressiness it can add to any look, be it a tee and jeans with heels, a dress or a pair of shorts..heck even some tights. The lapel gives it a tuxedo appeal and I added a couple of brooches to dress it up further. I look forward to visiting my friends out in blog land this week. Take care everyone 🙂

Today’s look is simple and chic with a button down pink blouse and white denim. I’ve got to admit that white denim has really become one of my favorites for this time of year. I don’t know who came up with the ban of wearing white after Labor Day but I”m so happy the ban has been lifted, from winter whites to spring whites and summer whites..it’s really ALL GOOD! I’m still on the hunt for a pair of white overalls and I also want a sexy white dress. S. Fl is famous for it’s all white parties. White denim looks so good against so many colors. Ladies just head to your nearest Express and pick ANY portofino shirt and cami and a pair of white denim jeans and you’ve got yourself a great rotation of hot looks. We’re almost at the end of the week and even closer to the end of this month. I hope time slows down a bit when my summer vacation starts 🙂
So…. that first week of April went by so quickly, that I had to wait until this week to recap my looks for the month of March. Here are my looks, can’t say I have a running theme for this month. It’s hard to narrow down my faves, but I would say the top 3 are the olive pants, white denim and striped skirt (on sale! 40%) looks! What are yours? Until next time dolls, hope you have an awesome week! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
I love Erica & Brooke of Pumps & Push Ups, and have been following their blog for a pretty long time. I can totally relate to the fashion and healthy lifestyle aspects of it so you can imagine how excited I was when they presented me with the opportunity to style something from their Pumps & Push Ups: The Collection online boutique. I chose the gorgeous Everly: Made For You Midi Skirt, and I must say, it is as beautiful in person as it was on the site. The material was just the right amount of heavy so that you can’t see through the skirt but had enough flow and movement for the upcoming spring months. The pleated front caught my eye and definitely added a touch of chic to this piece. I can certainly pair it with a variety of tops from camis, box tops, to sweaters and everything in between. Today I decided to rock it with a pin stripe button down shirt and chunky necklace. I undid all but two buttons on the shirt so I can sport a tank underneath. I really like the finished product! What do you think? Until next time dolls…Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
I’m just loving my skin these days, there is such a noticeable difference in the texture and look of my face. I feel like I’m kind of drinking out of the fountain of youth. I’d tried a few different combinations of InstaNatural products and apparently my face loves the brand. Which is awesome, because I actually have super sensitive skin that breaks out even by something as nice as the gentle caress of a man’s hand on my face LOL. Speaking of caressing, my love life is absolutely non existent…my career aspirations seem to have taken over my life and I’m not sure I’m able to pull back just yet. Soooooo, if you know any good upstanding guys..send them my way! 🙂 LOL
Today I figured I’d send some sunshine your way with this spring transition look. When I lived in Boston and spring started to come around, I remember how it could be a gorgeous sunny day but still be a bit brisk out so pairing a blazer with a sleeveless sheath dress is perfect for the in between weather, or days when you may start off needing to layer but can later take off the blazer if it gets too warm! Hope you’re digging the look! Talk to me in the comment section below! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
Don’t you love when you find pieces that not only look comfy but feel absolutely luxurious on? This look is just that. We used to have a Rampage store in the Boca Raton Town Center Mall back when I used to work at FAU and I found this lovely fuzzy and comfy sweater there. The cut and color are what drew me in and I’m amazed at how much I love this sweater still 🙂 The skirt is equally as comfortable, I purchased it from SAKS several months back and I’m finding that it pairs well with several items. Today, I married these two pieces and I really like the outcome! It’s perfect for one of our S. Fl winter days where it’s sunny and brisk just enough for a sweater or light jacket. Do you have any comfy pieces in your closet that you are in love with as well? Do share! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
Hope you’re enjoying a day off friends. I love a well dressed man but I also adore men’s clothing on women! After all, what ever they do, we do better don’t we dolls? 🙂 Today’s look features my spin on menswear. Remember the Natural Hair and Beauty Expo I attended a few months back? If not, you can visit it here. So there were quite a few vendors there and one of them was Mr. Stephen Gaskins CEO of That’s a Gentleman. He specializes in hand-made bow-ties and matching pocket squares. This man has such skills with a sewing machine, he also makes other pieces for men. I instantly fell in love with his bow-ties and picked up this camo one I’m wearing today. I always love a man in a tux with his bow-tie undone at the end of the evening, it’s just sexy…so I left my tie undone as well. I’m also rocking a studded leather cuff, made by Cuffed Designs who also specializes in menswear. Do you rock men’s clothing? Which masculine pieces do you like to wear? Until next time. Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
First week of February..DONE! This month is going to be equally as busy as it was for me in January, I will not have my Saturdays back until the end of this month. Next week, I’m off to Naples, FL for a 3-day training. This one is being sponsored by the Florida Dept. of Education and upon completion I will be eligible to facilitate trainings for teacher mentors. Teachers who host student interns in their classrooms. It’ll be an intensive 3 days but I am keeping my eyes on the prize which is fattening up my résumé and gaining experience so I will later be more employable as a staff development trainer. Speaking of Naples though, I thought I would find some pretty reasonably priced hotels there, because after all who is flocking to Naples? Imagine how dumbfounded I was to learn that this was far from the truth, the hotels are PRICEY and I found out that Naples is one of the richest cities in America. Home to a lot of millionaires. Well DAMN, can a sistah get a couple of nights at a hotel without breaking the bank? Ugggh…so anyway to cut cost I’ll be staying with family in Fort Myers which is a 30 minute drive away. Hopefully I’ll be able to take some pics for you guys (crosses fingers). Until next time loves! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
