So let’s talk about cutoff shorts, they seem to be even more popular this season and they’ve gotten even shorter. What we used to call Daisy Dukes has nothing on these denim “panties”. They do however, have an appeal don’t they? Not only are they majorly cute but add some rips and shreds and I couldn’t resist stocking a few in my closet. For those of us who are a bit self conscious of showing too much skin, you can offset this by wearing a long duster, cardigan, blazer, etc. All look just as stunning with a much like these black cutoffs I’m wearing today and some killer heels. No better way to make us short girls look like we have legs for days!
Happy belated Father’s Day to all the wonderful men in your lives!
I’m so lying! 😛 The first day back after the weekend is always the hardest isn’t it!? This weekend I played around with some recipes my trainer gave me. I am the first to admit that I hate to cook, and hate being in the kitchen..I really wish the food just magically appeared when I’m hungry. Trust me, if I ever strike it rich the first thing I’m getting is a cook! One of the recipes was for a Paleo version of a Danish meatloaf . It was delicious. I also tried my hand at baking some ginger spice brownies and these were an epic fail…so there is hope for me as a cook but the baking thing may take a little longer 🙂
I got some goodies in the mail this week from Express, they only sent me half my order so I’m looking forward to package number two. Something about getting packages in the mail is way more gratifying then coming home with them in bags. Tracking the package and then coming home to it, is like waiting for Santa to deliver your Xmas gift. This bow neck shirt dress I’m wearing today is from Forever 21. It was a lot more sheer than I expected but still super cute! I could see wearing it with some over the knee boots if the weather here was cool enough to permit it. I hardly want to buy a pair for fear that I’ll only be lucky enough to wear them once and not get my moneys worth!

Last week was tough! I was sick as a dog all week, I forced myself to go to work the first three days but it seemed that by the end of each day I was feeling worse not better; so eventually I had to bite the bullet and stay home to take care of myself and get some rest. I’m still not at 100% , but I’m definitely better than I was! Today I am wearing some favorites from GAP. This eyelet peplum top is an easy transition piece from the summer into the fall season. It’s light enough for Florida’s moody weather blues all year long and can be layered for the 2.5 days where it actually drops below 60 degrees here. My accessories add a bit of spice to this look with the pops of pink. I actually love Gap denim, they fit me well and I’m obsessed with their high waist options. I’ve got my eyes on these pairs here and here. Hope you guys have an awesome Monday.
These are a few pics of what I wore to a recent women’s conference. I think I may have mentioned it last week. Went for an all black look with a little lace. The skirt was a Chicwish purchase and I’ve since seen different variations of it that I love just as much, so I wouldn’t be surprised if I ended up with another black one and a white one. The heels were on major sale at DSW and yet another addition to my growing Vince Camuto heels. Camuto shoes are always so comfortable so I never hesitate when it comes to buying them.
Today’s look is simple and chic with a button down pink blouse and white denim. I’ve got to admit that white denim has really become one of my favorites for this time of year. I don’t know who came up with the ban of wearing white after Labor Day but I”m so happy the ban has been lifted, from winter whites to spring whites and summer whites..it’s really ALL GOOD! I’m still on the hunt for a pair of white overalls and I also want a sexy white dress. S. Fl is famous for it’s all white parties. White denim looks so good against so many colors. Ladies just head to your nearest Express and pick ANY portofino shirt and cami and a pair of white denim jeans and you’ve got yourself a great rotation of hot looks. We’re almost at the end of the week and even closer to the end of this month. I hope time slows down a bit when my summer vacation starts 🙂
Today’s look is totally a remix. I’ve found that all 3 of these pieces can be paired with a variety of other items and it’ll be fun testing them all out to see if they play as well in real life as they do in my mind! Some of my inspiration definitely comes from Pinterest, and I’ve shared a few of those pics below. Starting with just the skirt, the pink alone pairs well with hues such as yellow, white, black (together and separately) , green, Tiffany blue, navy blue, tan and grey. So far, the two times I’ve worn this skirt, I think I’ve been pretty conservative with my pairings so I’m looking forward to these other match ups. How do you feel about some of the color combos I’ve mentioned with this shade of pink that I’m wearing? Have you tried them before? Looking forward to reading your thoughts and insight! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
The countdown to the weekend begins! Whoo! Hoo! I just got home from an all day professional development training and my brain is over loaded with all that I have learned. I’m glad to have a moment to wind down before heading to the gym. My outfit today features yet another item of clothing that I love TULLE skirts! Tulle skirts very cute and can be paired with so many different things from plaid, to solids, from button downs, to tees and tanks. You can also rock them with your favorite chucks, high tops or heels and flats. No matter what you pair them with you will always look gorgeous! I posted a hot pink one a while back that’s on my wish list. See it here! Here I’ve dressed mine up with work in mind a nice pair of heels and button down striped blouse give just the edge of sophisticated chic I was looking for. Hope you like! Until next time! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
