Chambray Dress + Ankle Boots

Hey guys,

I want to say Happy Monday, but I have a snarl on my face right now LMAO!! As I have to un-glue myself from my mattress every Monday morning to begrudgingly start the work week, I hope it goes by faster than last week did! The weekend was fairly nice, Friday I met up with a friend of mine I haven’t seen in a long while! She has married and had a child since last we hung out and is trying to get her ‘girl’ time back on track. It’s so important not to lose your own sense of identify when you take on the additional hats of ‘wife’ and ‘mom’. We all need our time to unwind and hangout with friends. It’s great to have supportive hubbies and other family members that can allow for a day off every now and again. Saturday, I spent some time with another married friend of mine, and finally on Sunday had brunch with my single gal pals. I really had the goal of getting out of the house more this year and I must say, I am keeping up with it 🙂

I’ve wanted a chambray dress for the longest time but I could never seem to find one that I liked. I just happened to be shopping for something specific at Express when I happened to spot this number on the way to the dressing room.  Chambray dresses are pretty versatile, so it wasn’t a bad find at all. I always love the layered look of rocking a moto jacket with a flannel shirt tied to the waist, so being that there was an extra chill in the air in Newport Beach, Cali on this day, I opted for this look. As the weather returns to normal around these parts, I’ll have to find other ways to wear this, probably with some stacked heels, wedges and even sneakers. Hope you guys have an amazing start to your week!

Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

  1. I agree, spending some time with your girlfriends is so important! We all need it, single or married! You can’t be the same way with your man as you can be with a best girlfriend. Nothing quite like it!

  2. I was just thinking about how important is to keep in touch with our girlfriends…us ladies tend to take most of family duties onto ourselves and we forget how important it is to have friends and spend some quality time with them. Honestly, sometimes men are much better in maintainting their ‘buddy time’.

You look fantastic! I love those ankle boots. Flawless style choices dear<3

    • Very true, men are better at it..but then again they don’t take on even half of the household responsibilities that women are expected to take on, so they actually have more free time. Great point girl!

  3. it’s so important not to lose your own sense of identify when you take on the additional hats of ‘wife’ and ‘mom’. You couldnt have said it any better. It is important to retain your friends, and not get lost because of marriage. We all need our girl time. Love your look as always.

  4. So loving your matching leather jacket, bag and boots dear..great team up of clothing with the necklace..loved your work..keep it up..have a wonderful valentine week ahead too..:)
