Hey loves,

Happy Monday, I have the day off from work due to Dr. King’s birthday. So I’m at home relaxing until I have to go to the gym later. I’ve had a few request to post about my workout routine, so I’ll try to get that together real soon! Today’s look is from the weekend. I was supposed to catch the movie ‘Selma’ with my mom but she cancelled on me LOL whomp whomp! She did help take these photographs of me though (it was the least she could do ‘wink wink’) . These are a pair of boyfriend shorts that I picked up on sale at Gap, however they ran big so I had the waist taken in. I’m thinking about distressing them a bit more as well. I have to take in a lot of my clothes because certain designers run pretty large even when the tag size reads 0, which is pretty irritating but I’m sure my tailor doesn’t mind at all! I really love boyfriend shorts with button down shirts of any kind such as the inspo ones I posted from Pinterest in gingham, plain white and stripes. I also love to rock them with graphic or plain white tees with a shirt tied at the waist. It really depends on my mood. Finally, although I rock them with sneakers, I do prefer them with heels. How do you like to rock your denim shorts? Share your thoughts in the comments section and I’ll see you next time! Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

  1. Ohh love this look! I have a pair of distressed shorts from Gap too that I need to wear like this when it warms up. I love your fringe bag. So on trend for this season. Enjoy your day off.

  2. I love your bag and your total look. I wish women’s pants sizes were simple your waist measurement. Instead we have to remember what size we are for each brand we like. Men have it easy…lol.

  3. Oh that is a shame that you missed the film. This weekend I attended a work conference for my job called VK Live or Vogued Knitting Live at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. I also got a haircut which I HATE. Good Lord what does it take to find a good stylist. I love this look, I have a bag that is very similar and I hear you about the whole downsizing thing, it is really getting out of hand.

    • Yeah girl, we’ll have to catch the movie another time soon. Not another bad haircut, it is next to impossible to find a good stylist so when you do, you have to hold on to them for dear life! Your work conference sounds interesting! What’s Vogued Knitting?

    • Yeah it’s gotten pretty great reviews Denise! It was in the 70s, so perfect for shorts and a button down LOL I’ll send some sunshine your way girl! 🙂

  4. You’re so smart to get your denim tailored. I get dresses, tops and other kinds of pants tailored but never thought about doing it with denim! It makes perfect sense though since jeans always fit too tight around my thighs and hips and are wayyy too big in the waist!

Not sure if we have a blessing or a curse!

I want to see Selma! Let me know how it is once you finally do since it will probably be forever until I get around to seeing it!

    • Hey friend! I’m always ecstatic when I find clothes that fit perfect around the waist but most things have to be taken in…I always have to delay my satisfaction of rocking new clothes LOL I’ll let you know about the movie!
