It’s been a while since I did an outfit roundup. This week I’m sharing some of my favorite looks from the last few months. This summer we’ve seen so many cute trends my favorites have been the off the shoulder dresses and tops, pompom sandals, rompers, shorts in a variety of prints and distressed just about anything! Swimsuits are also a big part of the summer wardrobe and there are a so many gorgeous ones out there, you literally can lose your mind and your wallet buying swimsuits.
One thing I discovered this summer is that I love color. It’s also one of the things that is sorely lacking in my closet! I definitely need to do something about that ASAP. Did you fall in love with anything this summer?
Kisses! Besos! Bisous!

I’ve been away on vacation for the last two weeks and I swear upon coming back, I instantly felt like I needed a vacation from my vacation (insert tired emoji face here). I had an absolutely amazing time with my family in Atlanta and then at Martha’s Vineyard so the fatigue is totally worth it!
Today I’m wearing this distressed white denim look. I don’t know who decided to call off the ban of wearing white after the Labor Day holiday but I surely appreciate it. White is one of those colors that always look fantastic on, is a great baseline for any and every other pop of color and looks absolutely stunning against any complexion. Might be something to the reason why a lot of men enjoy wearing a crisp white tee with their denim and sneakers. These fringe heels seem to be getting a lot of wear over the summer as well, I definitely need to get the flats but haven’t decided on what color I should get…decisions, decisions! The summer seems to be passing me by pretty quickly! I walked into Walmart yesterday and they had the nerve to already have Back to School supplies up. WTF! Can they let me live! LOL I hope you guys have an amazing week!
If you are anything like me, than you are the ultimate procrastinator when it comes to traveling. I tend to travel a few times a year and my trips can range anywhere from an extended weekend to a 7-14 day trek. As much as I love to travel, my procrastination gives me so much anxiety the days leading up to any trip. I am such the last-minute packer! I like to spend time packing mentally before I actually pull things out of my closet. When I finally pack, it’s either late the night before I leave or literally the morning of, depending on how late my flight is. Then I over pack!
Back in the day I used to have a full bag full of shoes and way more outfits than I needed. This always resulted in cumbersome check in processes and fees or sitting at the security gate transferring things from one bag to another in order to get my suitcase to fit the damn box that measures how big your luggage should be. My packing style made an already stressful process even worse!
I’ve gotten so much better these days, as I’ve learned to streamline my packing style. Now instead of a bag full of shoes and outfits packed for those just in case moments, I’ve learned how to mix and match with just a few key pieces and some neutral toned shoes and minimal accessories. This week I’m traveling to Atlanta for a week and leave to spend another week on Martha’s Vineyard. For this multi-city trip, I had to not only find some great mix and match pieces, but also pack clothing that would be suitable for both environments. One being a metropolitan city and the other a beach town.
Hat: Forever 21/ Necklace: Target / Monokini: Victoria Secret/ Bracelets: Alex and Ani / Sunglasses: Free People/ Perfume: Gucci Guilty
I like to use the rolling technique to pack my clothes, I find that it keeps them wrinkly free and is a great way to pack and still have space. I layer the bottom of my suitcase with my shoes and then stack like pieces in a pile and roll them. I was able to free half of my luggage space for my toiletries and make up back which sat right on top of the shoes. Easy peasy!
Kisses! Besos! Bisous!
Here’s a tutorial that helped me with efficient packing!
So let’s talk about cutoff shorts, they seem to be even more popular this season and they’ve gotten even shorter. What we used to call Daisy Dukes has nothing on these denim “panties”. They do however, have an appeal don’t they? Not only are they majorly cute but add some rips and shreds and I couldn’t resist stocking a few in my closet. For those of us who are a bit self conscious of showing too much skin, you can offset this by wearing a long duster, cardigan, blazer, etc. All look just as stunning with a much like these black cutoffs I’m wearing today and some killer heels. No better way to make us short girls look like we have legs for days!
Happy belated Father’s Day to all the wonderful men in your lives!
It’s crazy how poised bloggers look no matter what kind of weather they are taking pics in; from winter snow to the hottest of hot! On the day I shot this look, the weather was particular hot and steamy. The only good thing is that it wasn’t humid. This beautiful floral midi skirt and barcelona cami is the perfect look for attendance to a summer wedding, a mid day date or lunch at a trendy restaurant with your friends. I got the skirt from Asos some time back and it’s been a while since I wore it. This oversized Zara clutch is a fun option, but can easily be replaced by something smaller and in a neutral tone as well.
The weekend was filled with good vibes. I attended a date night event at this is extravagant residence in SouthWest Ranches. It was super fun and a chance to be around some friends I haven’t hung out with in a while. The event ended early enough for us to come home, freshen up and change clothes and head out to a night club for drinks and dancing. We crashed and burned around 3 a.m. woke up the next day and had brunch at Latitudes, a nice beach front restaurant. I couldn’t ask for more, except for my second job to kind of do itself so I can relax instead on Sunday evening. This is the first weekend of my summer vacation, and it definitely got off to a great start! Hope your weekend was amazing. Have an awesome week guys!
This weekend was pretty laid back. Seemed like a weekend to catch up on sleep because I sure did a lot of it! The floral patterns of spring have transitioned into the summertime tropical print perfect for living in a state with year round tropical weather 🙂 Although June 1st also brought with it the start of Hurricane season here and unbearable 90 degree days on the daily. It’s pretty suffocating. I may have to relocate to a nudist colony until it’s over LOL! I’m also still noticing maxi dresses and other cute pieces with pineapples on them…one I’ve had my eye on is currently out of stock at F21 hope it comes back sometime soon! Today I’m wearing a strapless tropical print top I got last summer with one of my favorite pair of distressed denim shorts. Wore this look for the road trip down to the Florida Keys and it was totally comfortable and by the way, wrinkle free after being in the car for almost four hours! Can’t beat that!
So if you follow me on social media you’ll notice that your girl finally has herself a …dare I say it…. boyfriend! I’ve mentioned off and on throughout my time here in blog land my love life or lack thereof and that I’d been trying to get myself out there a bit more because after all, you can’t meet someone by staying home all the time. I also wanted to be more social and hang out with friends a bit more as well. For a while the being more social part was in the lead; finding my weekends filled with activities, traveling with the girls and so on, and then suddenly when I wasn’t expecting it, there he was 🙂 They say that’s how it happens, when you’re not really looking. He’s definitely been a breath of fresh air and I’m enjoying getting to know him. Looking forward to seeing what more this grows into!
I took a trip to Key West this holiday weekend and these ruffled shorts from Zara paired with a crisp white button down shirt was perfect for the occasion. Key West is such a picturesque and quaint place with the most chill and welcoming population of people, it truly is a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of big city living here in Miami et al. When we first arrived, the streets seemed to be pretty quiet and sparse with people. We quickly learned from our bartender at Margaritaville that everyone was at the beach, but the moment the sun started to set, they’d be out in full swing. He was so correct! Out of no where it seemed like the streets started to spill over with people, the whole atmosphere changed and became charged with energy, and excitement. It was a bit contagious. I swear I never tire of Key West, no matter how many times I go, simply because of the good vibes. It was a very relaxing stay and that’s exactly what the doctor ordered!
I did get my party fun in on Friday evening when we went to Happy Hour in Pembroke Pines. The DJ was amazing and the drinks were flowing. I’m a light weight, so by the time I got to the bottom of drink #1 I was already feeling pretty good! LOL. Sunday was BBQ time with several friends. Not a bad three-day weekend at all. Now I’m ready to go back into bum mode. Only 8 more days to go! Have a great week dolls!
Today’s look is a fun one, it’s been particularly scorching here in South Florida, every day having been in the 90s and it even as high as 95 this weekend. I went for something light and chic in this cute striped crop top and black tulle skirt. My pop of color comes from the Kylie Jenner lip kit shade in 22. I am absolutely in love with this crop top and am sure this one will be making an appearance on the blog a few more times before the year is done. Crop tops paired with high waist pieces are a God send guys! They allow you to show just a hint of skin without baring too much, not to mention the high waist helps to hide the dreaded bloat! Ugh.
This weekend was a pretty quiet one. I started off having plans but when it came down to it, I just couldn’t seem to part with the comfort of home. I did manage to attend a Natural Hair event with Rachelle but we left not too long after getting there LOL. I got caught up on a few of my TV shows, namely Containment, The Real World and Empire. It just felt really good to not have an obligation to leave the house. Alas, like every weekend before it, this one zoomed by..it was still Saturday when I started feeling the anxiety of Monday! I swear even though the end of the school year is around the corner, I feel like a giddy kid awaiting Christmas morning to tear open the gifts! All I want to do is start my summer vacation 😉 Hope you guys have an awesome week, only 11 more days of school left for me! Whoo! Hoo!
The off shoulder trend is HOT for this season, but really when have we ever stopped wearing it? On those unbearably hot days, we often reach for the pieces that show some skin and this trend does just that, while keeping it classy. This season I’ve seen a lot of off shoulder tops and dresses with a twist, be it bowed or cap sleeves, the floral or striped designs, or bold and beautiful colors..it seems to me that this trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon! What do you think? This cotton white number from Asos is perfect for the summer time which is rapidly approaching. Something about white, it’s such a beautiful neutral that transitions across seasons. Totally in love with this look! Thanks to Jewel for being gracious enough to take these shots while on her mini vacay to FL. Then again, we all know how it goes down when bloggers get together! LOL
This was a low-key weekend for me, I barely budged after coming home from work Friday. Except for Mother’s Day, I had to pay my Queen homage! Hope you queens who are also moms enjoyed your day, and that your loved ones put a smile on your face and hearts. Enjoy your week friends!
This floral romper I found at Forever 21 is the BUSINESS! I absolutely love it. My obsession with rompers are so real. Are they not the cutest things you can wear for the spring and summer? Literally no fuss. Just throw on your favorite pair of shoes and accessories and go. It’s just that simple. You can throw a blazer over them if you like or wear them with a maxi cardi and they still look ridiculously chic. You can throw a skirt of any length over them and make them a top, or rock your favorite pair of distressed denim jeans over them as well. There aren’t too many pieces in your closet that is as versatile as a romper. Who ever thought wearing a one piece adult onesie would be so POSH 🙂
This weekend was filled with good times. Our California squad was back together once again with Jewel in town. My taste buds are still singing from all the wonderful food we have eaten and I’m sure I’m left with a nice pre summer glow from the beach. Now it’s back to the work week. Only 25 days left until my summer vacation officially begins. Have a great week!
